A crucial part of any Big Power L-Series is the drive train specifically the Transmission! Unfortunately the 5spd from the Z chassis and S chassis cannot handle the torque. This adaptors allows you to bolt the Nissan monster FS5R30A found in the Z32 (300zx 90-96 NA+TT) + (z31 87-89T) transmission to your L20/24/28. It is also found in other Pathfinders/d21 pickups RWD model but we have not confirmed fitment.

There are other Transmission swaps out there which are great. However, they are costly, no speedometer input, heavy, requires cutting your transmission mounts, short gears, require more work/parts.  The adaptor is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum, bead blasted then anodized to retain its nice finish. We include all necassary mounting bolts

Benefits of the z32 5 spd include: Easily hold 400-600 Ft/lb

  • Re-use your current L-Series clutch assembly
  • Gearing is more suited for L-Series power band and highway.
  • Speedometer input electrical and there is a mechanical speedo drive too!
  • No cutting transmission tunnel mounts (however you will require custom mounts)


This is not a complete solution, rather a crucial piece of the bigger kit we will also be adding to it. Please view the links below some of the work.Custom driveshaft needs to be made, Bell housing needs to be removed , milled to accommodate spacer thickness and starter notch. Shifter rod needs to be shortened (z32 modeland s. A custom transmission mount or an APEX transmount will work!
